Going Above and Beyond: Rolls-Royce Employees Take on Fundraising Challenges for me&dee Charity

At me&dee charity, we are incredibly grateful for the generosity and enthusiasm of our supporters, and this year, a fantastic group of fundraisers from Rolls-Royce have gone above and beyond to make a difference to the families we support.

From cycling the length of Great Britain to taking part in a padel tournament and embarking on an unforgettable European road trip, Rolls-Royce employees have been getting creative with their fundraising, all in support of me&dee charity.

John Takes on Land’s End to John O’Groats

John took on the ultimate cycling challenge in August 2026, riding from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise vital funds for me&dee charity.

Between 8th and 23rd August, John tackled the demanding journey, demonstrating incredible determination, endurance and commitment along the way.

Taking on such a significant challenge is no small achievement, and we are extremely grateful to John for dedicating his time and energy to supporting the families we work with.

Serving Up Support with a Padel Tournament

The fundraising didn’t stop there! Another fantastic group from Rolls-Royce organised a padel tournament in aid of me&dee charity.

Bringing colleagues together for some friendly competition, the tournament was a brilliant way to combine sport, teamwork and fundraising while raising awareness of the work we do.

It’s wonderful to see colleagues coming together and using their interests and enthusiasm to support a cause that makes a real difference to local families.

Taking on the Rat Run

Rolls-Royce fundraisers also took on the Rat Run, an adventurous road trip from Derby to Benidorm, covering approximately 1,400 miles in cars worth no more than £600!

With plenty of miles to cover and the inevitable challenges of travelling across Europe in budget vehicles, the Rat Run was certainly no ordinary fundraising event.

The teams embraced the adventure while raising money and awareness for me&dee charity, proving that fundraising can be just as memorable as it is meaningful.

Making Memories That Matter

The incredible support from Rolls-Royce employees means so much to everyone at me&dee charity.

As a small charity, we rely heavily on the generosity of individuals, businesses and community groups to continue providing our vital services.

Through our Continuing Care Programme, we support families facing life-threatening and life-shortening conditions, providing opportunities to create precious memories, build friendships and access ongoing emotional and practical support.

From inclusive family activities and peer support sessions to our much-loved Splash Club, every fundraising effort helps us continue being there for families when they need us most.

A Huge Thank You to Our Rolls-Royce Fundraisers!

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone from Rolls-Royce who has supported me&dee charity through these fantastic fundraising initiatives.

Whether you’ve cycled hundreds of miles, picked up a padel racket, travelled across Europe or generously sponsored a colleague, your support is truly appreciated.
