This meaningful commitment will help us continue delivering one of our most loved and impactful programmes, our private swimming sessions for families. Splash Club is a dedicated me&dee swimming session designed specifically for families living with life-limiting, life-shortening, or complex conditions. Held in a private, calm, and supportive environment at Moorways Sports Village, it gives families the freedom to simply enjoy time together without judgement, pressure, or overcrowding. The session includes use of the splash pool and the sensory pool, followed by refreshments in the soft play.

For many families, this space is more than just a swim — it is a rare opportunity to feel relaxed, connected, and understood. One parent shared just how much these sessions mean to them:

“We love attending our monthly Splash Club sessions as a family with me&dee charity. My son Henry is 7 years old and has a rare genetic condition, he is disabled, non-verbal and PEG fed. Along with his 6-year-old sister Darcey they have both always loved water. These private group sessions give us the opportunity to have fun as a family in a relaxing safe environment where it is not overcrowded and we do not feel pressured or judged in any way. It has given us the opportunity to make new friends with families that have and are going through the same challenges as us. To watch Henry and Darcey splashing about carefree and happy is priceless. Thank you for helping us make family memories to last a lifetime.”

Another family described the importance of simply having something to look forward to during difficult times:

“Mine and my families’ lives feel forever in turmoil. Attending the me&dee events like swimming at Moorways just adds some light to our lives. It gives us something to look forward to and a chance to interact with other families in our position and know we’re not alone.”
