Description

What is the campaign?

To celebrate our 20th year, we wanted to launch a fundraising campaign that would help us make a real and meaningful difference for families facing uncertain futures.

Over our twenty years of experience, we have too often heard of stories from parents left to survive on dishwater tea and coffee and slices of cold toast, living from a chair beside their child’s hospital bed for weeks, sometimes months, on end. We’re determined to change that.

The campaign will run from the 17th January until 17th November and is centred around raising vital funds to be able to provide Costa Coffee and food and drink stop vouchers for parents with children on long-term hospital stays.

It’s a simple campaign. Collect 20p’s to make £20 for us to convert into a voucher.

“On the ward, everything feels heavy. That hot drink was five quiet minutes where I could breathe and remember I’m still human.”

How can you get involved?

We’d like for you to get as creative as possible with your fundraising!

You could collect 20p’s in a smarties tube, host a bake sale with cakes priced at 20p each, collect 20p for every mile walked or ran, 20p for every length swam. For simplicity, you can even just simply donate £20 to our JustGiving Page.

Alongside a local artist and designer Lisa Marie, we have created a one-of-a-kind ’20 For Twenty’ card which you can use to collect your 20p’s. Each card filled is £5 collected, helping to keep you on track.

The most important takeaway is that we would just like you to get involved!

If you’re using social media to boost your fundraising or collection, please tag us as me&dee charity on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, we’d love to see how you’re getting on and widen our reach for the campaign.

Where to register

To receive your free fundraising pack in the post, please head to our ’20 For Twenty’ Registration Form. If you would also like to receive any paper sponsorship forms, please note this in the comments box.

All fundraisers must be formally registered directly with the charity, but you can register at any point between the 17th January 2026 and the 17th November 2026.

We have a JustGiving Campaign page set up too, where you can either donate to directly, or set-up your own fundraising page attached to the campaign. This can be found here.

We can also provide downloadable sponsorship forms for any in-person donations you might take if taking on a fundraising challenge – please email events@meanddee.co.uk to request a copy.
