I’m going the extra mile for Miles For Smiles

Launch Day

Campaign Launch: Sunday, 24th April

Time: 4.00pm until 6.00pm

Location: The Moat Ground, Moat Street, Church Gresley, Swadlincote DE11 9RE

Join Maria and her guests as she does 5 laps of the Gresley pitch with her walker, Captain Tom style. To control the numbers of people we have could you drop us an email at events@meanddee.co.uk and we will then be able to accommodate you on the day.

What’s it all about?

To support the Miles For Smiles team, who will be walking 440 miles this year for me&dee we are hoping people will join us and walk that extra mile for Miles For Smiles.

It’s our way of showing support and promoting the very fantastic Miles for Smiles team, Callum Worker, Nick Sewell, Joe Elkin, Jordan Parker and their driver Wardy.

Do you work at/attend a school, college or a university? Can you get a group together to walk a mile and add to the Miles For Smiles total?

Can you get your workmates to support the Miles For Smiles team and walk an extra mile for Miles For Smiles?

Do you help run a Brownie, Guide, Scout group, would they like to join in?

Do you work at a Gym, would your members like to support the MFS team?

Are you a member of a walking club, a running club OR a swimming club, could you organise a mile for Miles For Smiles?

Are you thinking, I could do this but can I do it on my own, heck YES you can, set your mile out and away you go!

This campaign will be running between April 24th, our launch date, and August 26th, the last day of the Miles For Smiles walk.

What do we have to do?

It’s so easy, you can run, walk, swim, skip, hop or jump but be sure to have proof, count your steps or laps of the pool, you can do it in stages or all at once.

All we are asking for is a £1 minimum donation for your mile. If you would like to raise more please send an email to, events@meanddee.co.uk and we can send you our sponsorship form.

You can send your donation directly to the Miles For Smiles JustGiving page but make sure you insert a message saying that you went the extra mile for Miles For Smiles and include the following letters IGTEM.
