NEC Sporting Bears

Back at the Classic Car and Restoration Show

After a two year break for covid we were lucky enough to once again be asked back to the show by Alan Moss of  the Sporting Bears Dream Rides charity. A fantastic bunch of people who are a dedicated group of classic car and sports car enthusiasts with the primary aim – to raise money for children’s charities through their own social, dream rides and touring events.

As you can see from the photos below a wide range of cars from Austin 7’s to McLarens and Mustangs! The aim is that the public pay a fee to have a 10 mile dream ride in the car of their choosing which then raises money for the nominated charities that are being supported at the event.

As always we were made very welcome by the Bears and enjoyed the three day event at the NEC, so nice to see people enjoying the atmosphere of the show and it has to be said the sounds and smells add to the atmosphere.

Over three days the Bears raised an absolute amazing amount of money which was divided up to the three charities and as a result a donation of £6,728.73 to me&dee.

If you own a car that you might think people would pay for a dream ride in then pay a visit to the Bears website, it really is a rewarding experience.

Thanks to everyone who attended the event, it was fantastic to catch up with you and meet some new Bears as well as a few celebs.
